(TKG) – Iran shuts schools, universities and cultural centers as the coronavirus epidemic, known as the COVID-19, kills six residents, media quoted officials in Iran.
Iran reported the sixth death from the coronavirus and affected more than a dozen mostly in Qom city of Iran after which the authorities decided to close schools, universities and cultural centers.
So far, 28 cases of the virus have been confirmed in Iran, but it was not immediately clear if the sixth fatality was among those cases, media reported.
The infection in Iran spread on Wednesday that according to the officials most of the cases of the infection were reported in Qom, a southern city in Iran’s capital.
The COVID-19 that first emerged in China’s central city of Wuhan, which so far, has killed 2,345 people in China mainland.
