(TKG) ─ China on Sunday [January 26, 2020] expanded travel restrictions to contain the spread of a new coronavirus that caused a major concern to people across the world as the death toll reached 56, media reported.
China state broadcaster reported that China confirmed 1,975 cases of patients infected with the new coronavirus that was first spread in January 25 of the on going year.
It was further reported that more than 2,000 people across the world have now been infected.
According to scientists, snakes, including the Chinese krait and the cobra, may be the source of the newly discovered 2019 coronavirus that triggered the outbreak of infectious respiratory illness in China.
The new coronavirus was first reported in late December 2019 in Wuhan, a large city in central China, and has spread rapidly which has caused major concerns to the countries across the world.
