(TKG) ─ According to the officials in 209th Shaheen Corps as saying, more than 30 Taliban militants were killed as a result of Shaheen operations in Balkh and Jawjan provinces in the past 24 hours.
Mohammad Hanif Rezai – the spokesperson for the 209th Shaheen Corps – told TKG that at leat 16 Taliban militants were killed as Afghan forces air raids hit them in Balkh district.
According to him, as a result of operations conducted by Afghan security forces in Zaare district of the province, six Taliban militants – including a key commander – were killed and four others were wounded.
He further said that military crackdowns -including operations and airs strikes – were carried out by the Afghan security forces in Mangjik district of Jawzjan as well, during which six Taliban insurgents were killed, and one of their commanders named Mawlawi Ahmadshah known as Obaida was injured.
Taliban, however, have not commented on the casualties so far.
