(TKG) — According to media reports, U.S. said its 11 troops have been wounded in Iranian missile strikes in Iraq.
Media reported as saying, despite initially saying no U.S. service members were hurt, U.S. military confirmed its 11 troops have been wounded after an Iranian missile strike targeted an Iraqi military base that hosted U.S. forces.
Iran fired dozens of missiles in January 8 in retaliation for a U.S. drone strike in Baghdad on January 3 that killed Qassem Soleimani, the commander of the elite Quds Force of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard.
Following the attack the Pentagon said that no casualties had resulted from the 16 missiles fired by Iran.
