(TKG) ─ Afghanistan’s U19 cricket team will face against South Africa on Friday [January 17, 2020] in the first match of the U19 World Cup.
The schedule for the 16-team tournament to be played over 24 days across eight venues was announced by the International Cricket Council on Thursday [January 16, 2020].
ICC has announced the U19 tournament which is scheduled to run from January 17 to February 9, and 48 ODI matches will be played.
The Afghan cricket team is in group D and will play against South Africa, Canada and UAE.
Earlier on Tuesday, Afghanistan beat the UK by 21 in a warm-up match.
The Afghan team has already started warm-up matches and training to be ready for the World Cup.
