(TKG) ─ Local officials said on Wednesday [January 1, 2019] that eight Afghan police have been killed in Taliban’s attack on Tuesday night in Balkh province.
Balkh highway police commander, Fawad Saleh, said the Taliban attacked a checkpoint on a police checkpoint in Alam Khail village of Balkh province as a result of which eight Afghan soldiers have been killed.
Saleh further added that there were 14 police soldiers of which six survived the attack.
However, the Taliban group has not yet claimed the responsibility for the attack.
