(TKG) It has been, reportedly, issued by Saudi media that U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman held telephone calls on Monday [December 30, 2019] during which they discussed developments in the region, efforts to enhance security and stability, and reviewed regional and international developments.
No further details about the contents of the call have been released so far.
The telephone call comes after American forces launched air raids in Iraq and Syria on Sunday evening [December 29, 2019].
The U.S. air strikes were carried out on 5 targets belonging to the Iraqi “Hezbollah Brigades” in the territories of both Iraq and Syria, leaving 25 members of the group dead and 51 others wounded.
