At least 13 Taliban insurgents have been killed and/or wounded in joint air and ground operations by Afghan forces in Nangarhar and Laghman provinces.
It was quoted in a statement issued by 201st Silab Corps as saying to Killid that Security forces launched an airstrike on one of the Taliban’s hideouts in Sherzad district of Nangarhar province on Saturday [December 21, 2019], leaving six Taliban, including a local commander, dead.
In the meantime, Afghan forces launched an operation in Alishing and Daulat Shah districts of Laghman province, during which five Taliban have been killed and two others have been wounded.
The Taliban, however, have not yet commented on the incident.
