Articles of impeachment was approved today [December 19, 2019] after the House of Representatives voted to impeach U.S. President Trump.
The House of Representatives voted on Wednesday [December 18, 2019] to impeach President Donald Trump on both articles of impeachment, abuse of power related to his dealings with Ukraine and obstruction of Congress.
The landmarks come after President Trump was accused by House Democrats of pressuring Ukraine to open an investigation into the president’s political rival and former vice president, Joe Biden.
Mr. Trump is also in charge that he has obstructed the House Democrat’s investigation by refusing to comply with subpoenas and directing members of his administration to do the same.
The U.S. Congress approved Trump’s impeachment articles after which Mr. Trump becomes the third president in the 231-year history of the republic to be impeached.
Mr. Trump, on the other hand, denies the allegations, saying that Democrats are plotting against him.
In the meantime, the White House has also strongly condemned this act, calling it ‘a shameful episode’ in the history of the United States.
