According to a statement released by Ministry of Interior (MoI), at least 25 Taliban insurgents have been killed in Sayed Abad district of Maidan Wardak, Monday [December 9, 2019].
The statement added that Afghan Police Special Forces under the command of Deputy Minister Security, General Khushal Sadat launched a military operation against Taliban in the district.
According to the source, during the operation, 25 Taliban militants have been reportedly killed, and one of their safe havens have been dismantled.
The statement also added that a series of Taliban’s roadside mines, weapons and explosives have been discovered and neutralized.
The Taliban have not yet commented on the incident.
