Officials in the Ministry of Interior reported that one of the key Taliban commanders and four of his bodyguards were killed as a result of an airstrike in Balkh, Thursday [December 5, 2019].
It has been quoted in a statement released by Afghan Ministry of Defense as saying on Thursday [December 5, 2019] that five Taliban militants, including their key commander, were killed and four other militants were injured by an airstrike in Khan Abad area of Chaharbulak district of Balkh.
The sources added, “Four motorcycles and a number of military equipment have been demolished during the operation.”
