FARAH (The Killid Group) – Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat said its engineers obtained permission to work in areas Taliban shot down power Pylons, re-supplying electricity to Kabul and the provinces bore blackouts in the past few day.
According to a statement by DABS, its electronic engineers on Wednesday will start work at the site of the destroyed pylons to reconnect main power supplies, following cooperation by local elderlies for paving the way to the site.
Kabul, including 10 other provinces, will have a temporary power throughout the day, until officials stabilize pylons carrying 220 KW of electricity imported from neighboring Uzbekistan in Hassan Tal, Dand Shahabuddin and Asqalan of Afghanistan, the statement read.
Afghanistan generates only 25 percent of its electricity domestically and the lines bringing power in from Uzbekistan have been attacked, forcing those that can afford it to rely on expensive diesel generators. For poorer families, the blackouts mean hours without power for daily needs, including water.
