PAKTIA (The Killid Group) – Afghan security forces took down a purported suicide bomber in Gardez city of Paktia on Monday, before he blow himself in the crowd, local authorities said.
Sardar Wali Tabasoom, spokesman for the Paktia police, told The Killid, “the incident occurred around 11:30am Monday near Paktia University in PD2 of Gardez city.”
The bomber is killed, he added.
Meanwhile, Nasrat Rahimi, spokeman for the Ministry of Interior Affairs, confirming the incident said in a tweet “earlier a suicide bomber in residential areas of Gardez city is identified by the police and targeted.”
No one has suffer injuries, except for the bomber, he added.
No group or individual has asserted responsibility for the attack.
