NANGARHAR (The Killid Group) – A university lecturer Massoud Nekbakht killed in an embedded IED blast in Jalalabad city of Nangarhar province Tuesday, local authorities confirmed.
Nekbakht was Head of the Literature Faculty of Nangarhar University.
Attaullah Khogyani, Spokesman for the Provincial Governor, told The Killid that the incident occurred Tuesday around 4:30pm in PD7 of the city, which killed head of the Literature Faculty and wounded further three professors.
He said the explosion targeted Nekbakht’s vehicle.
Meanwhile, local officials of the Public Health confirmed three people submitted of the hospital for cure after the blast
Nekbakht was the nephew of a well-known former Jihadi leader Mawlawi Khalis, Khogyani said.
No group or individual has immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.
