Taliban Key Commanders Killed in Balkh Operation

BALKH (The Killid Group) – At least 31 Taliban insurgents, including three key commanders of the group, killed during an operation by Afghan security forces in Char Kunt and Sholgara districts Monday, local authorities said in a statement.

According to the statement by the 209th Shaheen Corps, “Mowlawi Abdul Ahah, self-proclaimed district governor for Char Kunt district of Balk province, including 13 members under his leadership, killed during Monday’s operation by Afghan security forces in Siyah Aba district of Sholgara.”

Around 4:30pm Monday, during another operation in Qaland Khalili and Siyah Ab villages of Sholgara district, Mowlawi Sherin, Deputy District governor of Taliban; and Noorul Hadi, a key leader of the Taliban, including 15 further members, killed, the statement read.

Taliban immediately did not comment on the incident.
