JOWZJAN (The Kilid Group) – At least nine Afghan security forces killed during a raid by the Taliban insurgents against security posts in Kokoldash district of Faizabad in northern province of Afghanistan, local authorities confirmed.
Feraidoon Aniq, Spokesman for Jowzjan Governor, told The Killid, “this clashes occurred around 8pm Monday and continued till 4am Tuesday, making Taliban retreat from the battlefield following a backup support.
Meanwhile, Taliban bore heavy casualties during clashes, he said; but did not provide further details.
Taliban in a statement claimed 10 Afghan National Police and security forces, including one of their commanders Baz Mohammad, killed and seven further wounded.
All the facilities and equipment of Afghan forces were seized by the group, the statement read.
