NANGARHAR (The Kilid Group) – Afghan security officials arrested nine Daesh militants during an operation in Pachiragam and Haska Mina districts of Nangarhar province, local authorities said.
At least seven members of the group killed during the clashes, according to the statement by security officials.
Attaullah Khugyani, Spokesman for the Nangarhar Governor, told The Killid, “yesterday (Monday), a special unit of the Afghan security forces carried an operation in Tangi Sulemankhail district of Pachiragam in Nangarhar, killing six Daesh (also ISIS) members.”
Meanwhile, during another operation in Haska Mina district, one Daesh militant killed and further nine arrested by forces, he said.
According to Khugyani, one depot loaded with arm and ammunitions of the group also wrecked during clashes.
The ISIS militant group did not immediacy comment on the incident.
