SAR-E-PUL (The Killid Group) – At least nine Taliban insurgents killed and further 11 wounded, as Afghan security forces carried airstrikes against the group in Sheberghan-Sar-e-Pul highway.
Mohammad Hanif Razae, Spokesman for the 209th Shaheen Corps, told The Killid Monday, “these airstrikes were carried in Sayed Abad of Sar-e-Pul province, along the Sheberghan-Sar-e-Pul highway.
“During the operation, at least eight armed anti-government insurgents killed, and further 11 injured, as well as forces seized a rocket and a M16 gun fully geared,” he added.
Sheberghan-Sar-e-Pul highway is one of the insecure areas in Northern Province of the country, which lefts numerous casualties during certain battle with insurgent groups.
Taliban so far did not comment on the incident.
