TAKHAR (The Killid Group) – Afghan National Police arrested a purported suicide bomber in Rustaq district of Takhar province in North, before the suspect reach his target, Ministry of Interior said in a statement Monday.
“A suicide bomber who was planning to launch a suicide attack in Rustaq District of Takhar, but before he could reach to a target, Afghan National Police (ANP) acted quickly and able to arrest the suicide bomber, MoIA said.
The statement did not provide further details on the suspect.
But, often Northern provinces are being targeted by armed Taliban and insurgents groups, as critics suggested some areas in those provinces are under influences of the Taliban.
