KUNDUZ (The Killid Group) – Afghan National Defense Security Forces helped free at least 15 hostages languishing in a Taliban prison in northern province of Kunduz, local authorities said.
According to a statement by the 217th Pamir Corps released Monday, Afghan commandos – in cooperation with 09 Unit of the National Security – wrecked a Taliban prison during an operation in Imam Saheb district of Kunduz province on Sunday afternoon.
During the joint operation, at least 15 prisoners were released and a Taliban ammunition depot was set on fire, the statement read. At least six Taliban also killed.
The militant group immediately did not comment on the incident.
