The Afghan Women’s Network Thursday raised one of the largest flags ever with black, red and green colors, as they celebrated 100th anniversary of the Afghanistan Independence Day at Wazir Akbar Khan hill.
Members of the Network believe Afghan women have played major role in country’s history, including economic development and stability in the country, and that they should play a prominent role in ongoing peace process.
The group exclaimed that Afghan women do not go back to the past, where they struggled for their basic rights; and want a peace that includes all women in their decisions.
