Taliban Murder Member of Samangan Provincial Council

SAMANGAN (The Killid Group) – The Taliban murdered Sayed Abdul Aleem Agha, one of the members of Samangan Provincial Council, local authorities confirmed, after being lost for about 24 hours.

Jawed Bisharat, Spokesman for the Baghlan police, said, “the Taliban yesterday (Saturday) abducted at least four people, including Sayed Abdul Aleem Agha, a member of the Provincial Council, as they were on the way to Afghan capital Kabul.”

According to Bisharat, local authorities discovered the dead bodies of at least two of them kidnapped, including the Council member, from Chshma Sher of the province.

While authorities seek to find the other two, for who officials have not clues of their whereabouts.

Officials only provided details on the identity of Agha, who is a member of the Provincial Council, while others’ remain silent.

Taliban did not comment on the incident immediately.
