BALKH (The Killid Group) – Afghan security forces carried several heavy operations against the Taliban’s hideout and base in Northern Province, killing at least 30 members of the group.
Mohammad Hanif Razae, Spokesman for the 209th Shaheen Corps, told The Killid, “Afghan forces today (Thursday) morning carried an airstrike against a Taliban base in Zarea district of Balkh province, killing at least 20 armed insurgents.”
During the operation, on warehouse loaded with arms and ammunitions, including 10 motorcycles, have been wrecked, he added.
Meanwhile, an another operation carried Wednesday night, Afghan security forces encounter clashes with the Taliban in Margin Hills district, where six Taliban killed and further five wounded.
“During these operations, one afghan security force killed and further firve wounded,” Razae added.
The 209th Shaheen Corps operations against militants in insecure areas of the province, helped forces retrieve a number of villages in Dowlat Abad district, Sholgara and Chatmal districts.
Taliban immediately did not comment on the incident.
