NANGARHAR (The Killid Group) – A series of Blasts in Eastern province of Nangarhar Monday inflicted heavy casualties to civilians, with reports suggesting roughly 131 people injured, as the country marked its 100th Independence Day.
Local authorities confirmed some 12 explosions in different parts of the province, which hurt at least 131 people, including women and children.
Mubarez Atal, Spokesman for the local police, told The Killid that explosions occurred in Buti Kot and Khugyani districts, as well as Jalalabad – the main and crowded city of Nangarhar.
No militant group or individual has immediately asserted responsibility for the series of bombings, where most were due to mines and IEDs.
