FARYAB (The Killid Group) – The Taliban hanged a well-known ethnic figure to death on Saturday in Surkh Abi village of Hazara Qala located in Pashtoon Kut district of Faryab province, local authorities said.
Karim Yourish, Spokesman for the Faryab police, told The Killid, “this ethnic icon named Ghulam Haider Surkh Abi, was close relative to the commander of Pashtoon Kut district’s police HQ in Faryab; but the reason for Taliban of hanging him to death is unclear.”
The victim had no connection or collaboration with the local police Head Quarter, according to security official.
Taliban did not immediately comment on the incident.
