KABUL (The Killid Group) – A massive blast ripped through a wedding ceremony in Police District 6 of the Afghan capital Saturday night, killing at least 63and wounding more than a 100 civilians.
Women and children are believed to be amongst the victims.
The explosion – believed to be a suicide bombing – occurred at around 10:40pm Saturday, according to the Ministry of Interior Spokesman Nusrat Rahimi, as hundreds of families came together to celebrate a newlywed couple’s marriage in the city.
Sources and eyewitnesses said the hall was stuffed with guests when the explosion went off.
Footage on social media shows man shocked outside the wedding hall, as he is looking for his family members attended the weeding.

The Shahr-e-Dubai Wedding Hall is located in PD6 of the Afghan capital, connecting main city to the northwestern parts of the province, including Char Qala-e-Char Dehi area.
Wedding ceremonies in Afghanistan are often attended by at least 400 guests, where the figure jumps up to 2,000 people depending on the host influences.
Taliban in a statement denied any involvement in the attack, as the group condemned the incident that targeted women and children.
