NANGARHAR (The Killid Group) – Afghan National Police arrested two Daesh members in eastern province of Nangarhar, Ministry of Interior said in statement Wednesday.
A special unit of Afghan police carried an operation in Buti Kot district of Nangarhar province on Tuesday, and arrested two key Daesh (also ISIL) members believed to have vital role in terrorist attacks, according to the statement.
Officials have also seized at least two Kalashnikovs, one pistol gun and further ammunitions during operation.
The captured Daesh members are Abdul Rahman (known as Talha), resident of Buti Kot district in Nangarhar – a vital member in making mines and explosive devices, the statement read.
Officials did not province further details on the second Daesh members arrested.
Daesh militants did not immediately comment on the incident.
