HELMAND (The Killid Group) – The Taliban group suffered casualties in a battle with Afghan security forces in Garm Ser district of Helmand in South Afghanistan, Ministry of Interior said in a statement.
According to the statement released Wednesday, “the Taliban group wanted to attack Afghan security forces at Shomlan of Garm Ser district, but faced heavy retaliation by forces that killed six and wounded further three Taliban.”
The bodies remain in the battle field, and forces have seized a Kalashnikov during the clashes, statement added.
Afghan security forces did not bear any casualties.
Taliban immediately did not comment on the incident.
