KABUL (The Killid Group) – Afghan security forces launched series of operations against Daesh militants in Bagrami district in the east of Kabul Tuesday night, officials said.
The operation was launched at 12pm Tuesday night after Kabul police identified a group of Daesh militants hidden in a house, said Nusrat Rahimi, spokesman for the Ministry of Interior.
Explosions have been heard in the area, according to Bagrami residents.
Two further operations were carried in Qasaba area of PD15 in Kabul against a number of purported suicide bombers, Rahimi said.
Meanwhile, National Directorate of Security said in a statement Wednesday Special Forces have launched operations in different parts of Kabul against “terrorist groups”.
“The operation finished in one part of Kabul but is still ongoing in two other areas,” the statement said, adding that “one of largest enemy’s hideouts was destroyed,” as local media reported.
