HERAT (The Killid) – At least eight civilians were injured during a blast at PD5 of the western province of Afghanistan on Wednesday, local authorities said.
“The blast is due a magnetic mine embedded to a vehicle,” Herat police said.
Mohammad Arif Jalali, Head of Herat hospital, told The Killid, “eight civilians have been landed to the hospital after the mine went off in Darb Malak of Herat city.”
“Two women and two children are among those who suffered injuries,” he added.
· Herat Blast Inflicts Heavy Loss to Civilians
The blast comes following a previous attack that inflicted heavy casualties to civilian, as an embedded IED to a motorcycle went off in a crowded city of Herat.
Abdul Ahad Wali Zada, Spokesman for the Herat Police, said, “this explosion occurred Monday night in a crowded bazar in Haji Abbas vicinity of Police District 12.
No group has so far asserted responsibility for the two attacks in Herat.
