HERAT (The Killid Group) – Heart police discover and seized some 25,000 bullets of various types in western province of Afghanistan, local authorities said.
Abdul Ahad Wali Zada, Spokesman for the Herat Police, told the Killid that Afghan security forces in Chasht district, today (Tuesday) morning, have discovered and seized a fully loaded lorry truck with different types of bullets.
According to Wali Zada, the bullets include 10,500 M16 bullets, 9,000 Kalashnikovs’, 2,800 M49’s, and 2,400 American machine gun bullets.
At least two suspects were arrested and are now under inspections.
It comes following reports saying residents in several province are concern of increasing arm trafficking and armed robbery extortions – Herat in particular.
