HERAT (The Killid) – An Improvised Explosive Device embedded to a motorcycle inflicted heavy casualties to civilian, as it went off in a crowded city of Herat.

Abdul Ahad Wali Zada, Spokesman for the Herat Police, said, “this explosion occurred Monday night in a crowded bazar in Haji Abbas vicinity of Police District 12.

According to Wali Zada, the incident killed at least four, including women and children, and wounded further 30 civilians.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Arif Jalai, Head of the local hospital, told The Killid, “at least four dead and 30 wounded in the blast are landed to the hospital.”

Soon after death toll rose to five, he added, exclaiming a number of other patients are cutting hard to recover.

No group or individual has immediately asserted responsibility for the attack.
