KANDAHAR (The Killid Group) – At least seven policemen were killed in an apparent insider attack in southern province of Kandahar Sunday, local authorities said.
The incident took place in Tor Kotal area in Shah Wali Kot district after a policeman opened fire on his comrades, killing seven police force members, Kandahar police said in a statement, as reported by local media.
According to the statement, the suspect has fled the scene short after storming against his comrades.
Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack, saying the policeman was their “infiltrator”.
