Exhibition of Rural Industries in Afghan Capital

The Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of Afghanistan’s independence, launched an exhibition of rural industries in Chihilsiton Garden in Kabul.

Purpose of the exhibition was to promote economic growth among women entrepreneurs and to market their crafts.

In this exhibition, women’s handicrafts, including embroidered traditional attires for women and men, local hats, scarfs, boots, handkerchiefs and other handicrafts, were exhibited in at least 200 booths.

At the rural industries exhibition, women from across Afghanistan showcased their products and handicrafts for three days – who were warmly welcomed by Kabul residents.
