GHAZNI (The Killid Group) – At least 51 Taliban insurgents killed and wounded during several battles in past 24 hours with Afghan and Resolute Support forces in southeastern province, local authorities said.
Arif Noori, Spokesman for the Ghazni Governor, said in a statement Sunday, “during yesterday’s (Saturday) battle – where Afghan security and Resolute Support forces carried some 13 airstrikes – against Taliban militants in Nazar Khan of Andar district; Bremzi, Pailooch, Balaye, Alwakhail and Naw Abad of Deh Yak district; and Ali Khan village of Khoguyani district.”
The operations “resulted to at least 30 Taliban’s death and four further injured,” he added.
Security officials also seized a vehicle and number of arms and ammunitions during the operation,
Meanwhile, in another battle between Afghan forces and Taliban insurgents in Krosay district of Qara Bagh, at least nine insurgetns – including two Pakistani nationals – killed and further three wounded, Noori said.
