KABUL – At least two United States Army soldiers were killed in an apparent insider attack in southern province of Kandahar, Afghanistan on Monday, US military said in a statement.
The statement did not release any further details on the attack, saying it is awaiting next of kin notification.
Meanwhile, the Taliban reported an Afghan soldier fired gun, killing four US soldiers and wounding two others in Shah Wali Kot district of southern province of Kandahar, before he was shot dead in exchanged firings.
No other information was provided in the press release sent out Monday afternoon by NATO’s Resolute Support headquarters, who train, advice and assist mission in the country.
