HERAT (The Killid) – Taliban insurgents attacked and killed manager of the Civil Registration office in Shindand district, local authorities confirmed.
Jelani Farhad, Spokesman for the Herat Governor, told The Killid Monday, “yesterday afternoon (Sunday) manager of the Civil Registration office of Shindand district was attacked and killed in front of his residence by Taliban.”
Officials did not provide further details on the identity of the victim.
According to Farhad, afghan security forces launched an investigation to bring the perpetrators of the attack to justice.
Shindand is one the most insecure districts in Herat province, where Taliban has huge influence.
