BALKH (The Killid) – At least five Taliban insurgents, including their key commander, killed during clashes with Afghan forces in Char Bolak and Chatmal district, north officials confirmed.
Mohammad Hanif Razae, Spokesman for the 209th Shaheen Corps, told The Killid, “yesterday (Saturday), in a battle between Afghan security forces and anti-government insurgents in Charbolak district of Balkh, a key commander to Taliban Qari Mohammad killed.”
Four further insurgents killed at Asyab Gurk district of Chatmal, he added.
Afghan forces did not suffer any casualties during the clashes.
Taliban immediately did not comment on the incident.
