FARYAB (The Killid) – At least 31 anti-government insurgents killed and further four wounded during an airstrike by Afghan security forces in Bulchiragh and Garzewan districts in northwest of the country, local authorities said.
Mohammad Hanif Razae, Spokesman for the 209th Shaheen Corps, told The Killid, “yesterday afternoon (Saturday), some 28 Taliban insurgents, including a number of their team leaders, were killed during operation carried by Afghan security forces in Bulchiragh district of Faryab.”
“In a separate areal operation against Taliban’s posts at Ali Abad of Garzewaan district in Faryab, three anti-government insurgents killed and four further injured,” he added.
Afghan security forces did not bear any injuries, according to Razae.
Taliban so far did not comment on the incident.
