KABUL (The Killid) – The Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission says its findings – upon national report on Women, Peace and Security – indicate more than 95 percent of women all across the country want a democratic system.
Sima Samar, former AIHRC Head, during a press conference Thursday said women in the country have called for uncontested rights, as the findings of the study show.
According to Samar, women’s right is women’s right, and they do not want negotiating parties to tackle and decide for their rights.
Samar exclaimed, based on the study made, women suggested national interests, women’s rights, religious minorities and the 18-year achievements of the country should be preserved during the peace process.
