FARYAB (The Killid) – In a couple of operations by Afghan security forces in northwestern province of the country, some 32 government’s opposition group members killed, including those who suffered injuries and are captured.
Mohammad Hanif Razae, Spokesmen for the 209th Shaheen Corps, told The Killid, “Special unit of the National Army last midnight (Monday) carried special operation at Takali Khowaja Namosi of Pashton Kot district in the province.”
During the operation, five members of the opposition group killed, including an Uzbekistan national, as well as a key Taliban commander Nabiullah captured by the forces along with his arms.
Meanwhile, in a separate operation in Bul Chiragh, Dowlat Abad and Shirin Tagab districts of Faryab, nine Taliban killed and further 12 wounded.
Five insurgents also are captured by the forces, Razae added.
Afghan security forces did not suffer any casualties.
Taliban so far did not comment on the incident.
