HERAT (The Killid) – In a special operation Afghan police freed man Monday – who was kidnapped three days ago – in West, local police said.
Abdul Ahad Wali Zada, Spokesman for the Provincial Police, told The Killid, “this man name Omid (goes with a single name) and was carried off three days ago from Naw Abad of PD11,”
According to Wali Zada, Afghan forces carried a special operation in Karakh and Pashtoon Zarghoon, in a bid to free the kidnapped man.
No group or individual has been arrested in the regard, but investigation underway to bring the perpetrators to justice, according to Wali Zada.
It comes at a time residents raise concern over increasing numbers of criminal cases in the province.
