KANDAHAR – Afghan security forces win over a battle with the Taliban insurgents in Kandahar province, killing at least two Taliban militants during the operation, officials said Tuesday.
During a separate operation, Afghan special forces in Kajaki district of Helmand, destroyed some 3,000 pounds of explosives devices and 50 pounds of heroin.
Furthermore, forces destroyed 6 IEDs, a large ammunition cache and small weapons cache during the operation.
The Taliban militants did not immediately commented on the incident.
