United States President Donald Trump has become the first sitting US president to set foot in North Korea, after meeting Kim Jong-un at Demilitarized Zone, the area dividing South and North Korea.
Expressing admiration Trump said in a tweet Sunday, “Stood on the soil of North Korea, an important statement for all, and a great honor!”

North Korean leader and US president posed for handshakes before talking for nearly an hour in the heavily fortified demilitarized zone, where both countries agreed to set up teams to resume stalled nuclear talks.
Their last summit broke down in February with no progress on denuclearization in North Korea, leaving Trump empty-handed back to home country.

United States President Donald Trump is set for a third meeting Sunday with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un at the Demilitarized Zone, border separating the North and South – a day after his willingness to meet Kim was welcomed.
“We are going to the DMZ border, and we will be meeting Chairman Kim,” Mr. Trump said at a news conference in Seoul with President Moon Jae-in of South Korea. “I look forward to it very much.” He added that there was “a lot of good feeling” between him and Mr. Kim. “He understands me, and I think I understand him,” he said, as The New York Times reported.
Moon praised the two leaders for “being so brave” to hold the meeting and said, “I hope President Trump will go down in history as the president who achieves peace on Korean Peninsula,” sources.
