GHOOR (The Killid) – Taliban insurgents raided at least two districts in Ghoor, western province of the country, local authorities confirmed.
Abdulhay Khatibi, Spokesman for the Provincial Governor, said to The Killid, “the Taliban self-proclaimed provincial governor entered Tewra district to lead and manage the team for attack.”
“Even though Taliban attacked at Afghan security forces posts in Tewra district, but forces could cause them great loss by heavy retaliation,” he added.
He did not provide exact figures on number of casualties.
Meanwhile, Khatibi confirmed the Taliban raided in Shahrak district of the province, where once again they were defeated.
He exclaimed Afghan security forces are standby for any possible threat or attack by government opposition groups.
