KABUL (The Killid) – The Secretary General of North Atlantic Treaty Organization Jens Stoltenberg at a press conference Wednesday in Brussels said negotiations are only way to achieve peace in Afghanistan.
Stoltenberg demonstrating at Taliban’s approach of peace through war said they never win in a battlefield; only negotiations will prevail peace in the country.
He said, the NATO will continue its support to Afghan national army and peace process, so that Taliban could realize they will never succeed through war.
Expressing hope for the current negotiations with Taliban, he further said “After a few years, we have witnessed a real peace process, and talks will continue until a certain outcome.”

It comes at a time the NATO alliance’s Defense Ministers discuss Afghan peace and security situations in Brussels, Belgium.
Asadullah Khalid, Acting Minister of Defense of Afghanistan, is expected to also attend and speak at the meeting.
