GHAZNI (The Killid) – Officials foiled Taliban in their attempt to blow tomb of Sultan Mahmod Ghaznavi, provincial authorities said.
Arif Noori, Spokesman for the Provincial Governor, said to The Killid, “today (Sunday) morning, armed Taliban wanted to plant mines at Sultan Mahmud Ghaznavi tomb located at Rowza in north of Ghazni city; but before they succeed, mines blew themselves.”
At least one Talib killed and further one wounded, according to Noori.
Meanwhile, security officials could discover and defuse another mine in the area.
Taliban so far did not comment on the incident.
