TAKHAR (The Killid) – At least 23 Taliban insurgents were killed and wounded during clashes with Afghan security forces in Ashkmash district of Takhar province, Ministry of Interior said in a statement.
According to the statement, 10 Taliban members, including their several key commanders, were killed during an operation by Afghan forces in Ashkmash district of Takhar province; further 13 wounded.
A number of arms and ammunitions have also been discovered and seized by forces from the area.
Taliban so far did not comment on the incident.
