BALKH (The Killid) – The 888 Balkh police operation unit Tuesday night arrested three government opposition group members during a graveyard operation carried at Khala Buzgan village of Dowlat Abad district, North officials said.

The members are believed to have belonged to Qari Faizullah, known as Qari Usman, self-proclaimed deputy governor to Taliban in Dowlat Abad district, from whom officials discovered a hug number of arms and ammunitions.

Adel Shah Adel, spokesman for the provincial police, said to The Killid, “a huge number of explosive devices have also been discovered during the operation, and have been defused by engineering team.”

It comes after security officials launched a series of operation in Northern provinces to clear areas of armed insurgents and or of so-called Taliban.
