Faryab Airstrikes Claim 31 Insurgents
FARYAB (The Killid) – At least 31 armed insurgents, including their three commanders, were killed during airstrikes carried by Afghan security forces at Yukhan district of Grezwan in northwest of the country, local officials said.
Mohammad Hanif Razae, Spokesmen for the 209th Shaheen Corps, said to The Killid, "yesterday (Monday) afternoon two A29 aircrafts of the 209th Shaheen Corps carried attack against an important hideouts of the Taliban at Yukhanl; beside causing them heavy loss, one of Taliban's post is completely wrecked with its all equipment.”
Afghan security forces and civilians did not suffer any casualties during the battle, according to the statement.
But armed insurgents in a statement said at least two children were killed and four women wounded.
